The NBA season runs from fall into early summer, with a playoff run in the spring that gets more intense every round. The Bar at the Patch in Scranton shows sports year-round on 27 TVs, so it's an easy spot for a weeknight game or a playoff night with friends.
Regular season vs. the playoffs
During the regular season, NBA games are a nice background to a night out — dinner, a drink, a game of pool. In the NBA Playoffs, the games become the main event. If there's a specific playoff game you're coming for, calling ahead matters more, because other sports may also be on.
Evening hours
Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 5 PM–12 AM; Friday and Saturday 4 PM–2 AM; Sunday 12 PM–8 PM; closed Tuesday. Most NBA tip-offs are in the evening, which fits our weeknight hours. Late West Coast games can run past midnight on weeknights — Friday and Saturday we're open until 2 AM.
